PrivaTech collects certain technical information from your computer’s Web browser when you visit on the Internet. This information includes the amount of time spent on the site by a visitor with a unique Internet identifier, the pages visited and returned to, the operating system and Web browser used, and the referrer website. These server logs do not contain any personal information and can only be accessed by PrivaTech. Anyone can browse PrivaTech’s site with cookies turned off, but if you sign up for one of PrivaTech’s training sessions or seminars on-line, you must accept cookies. A cookie variable is assigned to you when you sign up, and placed on your computer for programming purposes only. This is a termporary or session cookie that uniquely identifies you and ensures that you have provided us with the information we need to confirm your registration. The cookie is destroyed as soon as you close your browser and is never redirected to any other servers.

The personal information you provide to us through our site is NEVER disclosed to any third party, without your explicit consent. When you send us a query or request for information, identifiable information about you is only kept long enough for us to provide you with a response. If you have subscribed to PrivaTech’s newsletter, PrivaTips, your e-mail address is kept as long as you are a subscriber.

In the event that you choose to unsubscribe to PrivaTips, your information will be immediately deleted from our database, and you will no longer receive any information from PrivaTech. However, residual information about you may remain in back-up files temporarily.

Back-ups of our subscriber databases occur nightly and weekly. Weekly back-ups are overwritten such that information older than one week is permanently destroyed and irretrievable.

Thus, a newsletter subscriber or someone awaiting a response to a request for information is responsible for letting PrivaTech know if their e-mail address has changed.

PrivaTech strives to provide you with the most secure transmission environment possible. To secure the transfer of personal information, PrivaTech has obtained a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Server Certificate. The certificate is used for any fill-in forms on the site, such as on the Seminar Sign-Up page. Information entered here is collected within a secure page, such that it is encrypted while being transfered to a password protected database on the PrivaTech server. The server is protected by an enterprise firewall that is immediately updated when new patches and fixes are released.

If you send an unencrypted e-mail message to PrivaTech, you should be aware of the inherent risks of interception when communicating with others on-line. Visit PrivaTech’s Terms of Use Agreement for further details.
